Survey Series

Series let you run the same survey on a recurring schedule—weekly, monthly, or quarterly—and track how sentiment changes over time. Perfect for pulse checks, engagement monitoring, and continuous feedback programs.

Why Use Series?

Track Trends Over Time

A single survey gives you a snapshot. A series shows you the movie. Track how engagement, satisfaction, or sentiment changes week over week or month over month. Identify improvements and catch problems before they escalate.

Consistent Questions

Series ensure you ask the same questions each time, making comparisons meaningful. No more recreating surveys or accidentally changing wording that skews results.

Automated Distribution

Set it and forget it. Series automatically distribute surveys on your chosen schedule. No manual work required. Reminders go out automatically too.

Creating a Series

1

Navigate to Series

Click Series in the sidebar, then click "Create Series" in the top right corner to start a new recurring survey program.

2

Name and Describe

Give your series a clear name like "Weekly Pulse Check" or "Monthly Engagement Survey." Add a description to help team members understand its purpose.

3

Set the Schedule

Choose how often surveys should run: weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly. Select which day and time surveys should be sent. Consider your audience's schedule for optimal response rates.

4

Add Questions

Create your survey questions or use AI generation just like a regular survey. These questions will be used for every occurrence in the series. Keep it short for recurring surveys—5 to 10 questions works well.

5

Select Audience

Choose who receives each survey. You can send to all participants, a saved segment, or specific custom field values. The audience applies to all occurrences in the series.

6

Activate the Series

Review your settings and click "Activate Series" to start the schedule. The first survey will be sent at the next scheduled time.

Series Best Practices

  • Keep recurring surveys short (5-10 questions) to prevent survey fatigue
  • Include at least one consistent benchmark question to track over time
  • Send at the same time each period for consistent comparison
  • Share trend results with stakeholders to show progress and areas needing attention
